Emergency Services

Fire & Rescue and Ambulance Services use Promove slings to move disabled, incapacitated or overweight individuals in challenging situations. Promove can be quickly placed beneath an individual in a confined (eg crashed vehicle) or outdoor location with minimum displacement (vital where skeletal injury may be suspected) facillitating efficient evacuation & minimising stress on service providers.

Use of a top-and-tail lift was justified as "it is an emergency – there is no other option". This can no longer apply as the Promove sling provides a legally recognised safe alternative.

  • More flexible, safe and effective solution in an emergency
  • Effective in challenging situations where a hoist cannot be used
  • Suitable for all sizes from children to bariatric adults

Testimonials:

“The Promove sling has proved to be invaluable to us when rescuing and moving larger casualties. It is easy to use and gives us a quick and simple method of getting sufficient hands on to enable a safe and stable lift. We are called out to around forty such incidents a year and regularly use the Promove to bring these incidents to a safe and dignified conclusion.”
Robert Bugg, Technical Rescue Unit, West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service

“The Promove is a very innovative piece of equipment. It’s simple design allows efficient and comfortable evacuation of disabled and/or bariatric casualties with minimal training implications. Its compact nature also minimises stowage requirements as space is at a premium on front line Fire appliances.”
